Green Flag (National Anthem and Qualifying) 6:00pm

In recognition of the warmer than normal temps, we go green with Qualifying at 6pm and Heats at 6:50pm. Main Events begin at 8:30pm, so come on out after it cools a bit, we’ll be here waiting for you!

We will not have a Driver Meet and Greet for this Event.

BRING IT!……….RACE #4!!!

After a well earned break after our May event, it’s time to take the Green once again this Saturday June 24th! We have a huge night of racing lined up for you, and some fun stuff as well.

To celebrate our local heroes who protect us, we will feature a Law Enforcement Enduro immediately after the So-Cal Enduro Main Event. We are expecting representatives from the CHP, Kern County Sheriff, and LA County Sheriff to participate. We are going to put them into our Enduro cars and prove who is the fastest in Law Enforcement!

Figure 8 returns for the rest of the 2017 Season sponsored by Mirror Image Audio. It will be an Open Competition event with just about any race car that wants to take part on our wild and fast Figure 8 course. It is said we have one of the best Figure 8 layouts in the Country, come see some crazy action in the Intersection this Saturday! ONLY at The Speedway at Willow Springs!

We are also featuring an Encore of our Extreme Events including The Backwards Race, Flag Pole, and a Mini Figure 8 for those cars as well. We’re throwing a little fun in June 24th!

What’s a “Dueling Heat Race”? It’s something you won’t see ANYWHERE else on the planet! Simultaneous heat races at the same time! Half of our Enduro field will be in Turns 1 and 2, and the other half in Turns 3 and 4. Pointed right at each other before heading into the infield toward Start/Finish to make their turns. We assure you, you’ve never seen anything like this before!

As the temps warm up, so are our point battles. Things are very tight in Elite with just 7 points separating the top 3. Lancaster’s #33 Logan Mainella leads Lebec’s #30 John Penning by a tiny 6 points with Leona Valley’s #77 Alex Anderson right on their heels 2 points back.

In Street Stocks just 3 points separate Redlands #34 Tony Forfa and Santa Clarita’s #25 Justin Good for the Championship. As we lead into our Summer break, all those teams will be running hard to come out the leader going into the back half of our Season.

THE T&T Alignment “Dueling Heats and 30 lap Main!”

You won’t see action like this anywhere else this weekend as our So-Cal Enduro teams take to the track running Simultaneous Twin Heat Races. We came up with this idea as a joke a couple of seasons back, and well, probably not the smartest thing we’ve ever done, but doing it anyway! The cars are pointed right at each other before they turn into the infield to come back to Start/Finish. One heat race is going in Turns 1 and 2, another in Turns 3 and 4. Our safety team gets nervous every time we do this, we have little doubt Saturday will be NO Exception!

Then we follow it up with a wild 30 lap race for the trophy later in the evening. We haven’t seen one go over on it’s roof yet this season, so we are kinda due!

At our last race on May 13th your top 5 in So-Cal Enduro were….

#25 Brady Mertz
#06 Stanley Youngblood
#26 Keith Murphy
#49 Ken Iannalfo Jr.
#74 Ken Iannalfo Sr.

The So-Cal Enduro continues to produce the craziest action on every race night. Not to be missed at Willow Springs this Saturday!!!

Lancaster’s Logan Mainella #33 made a statement back on May 13th, capturing his second Main Event of the season and regaining the Points Championship from Lebec’s John Penning #30. But the veteran Penning is very patient, and will let the opportunities to come him.

Leona Valley’s Alex Anderson #77, also had a very good night finishing 2nd behind Mainella after a ferocious battle for the position. All three cars are separated by just a narrow 7 points going into our last race before Summer break. Or will it be someone new this Saturday as Lancaster’s Randy Wilkins #05 has shown steady improvement in the new car. Also Palmdale’s Chris Peedan #98 is expected to return with his new car as well to throw some question marks into the game. You can’t miss this one Saturday night!

At our last race on May 13th your top 5 in Elite were….

1.) #33 Logan Mainella
2.) #77 Alex Anderson
3.) #30 John Penning
4.) #05 Randy Wilkins

5.) #5 Todd Barnes

The battle still rages between Santa Clarita’s #25 Justin Good and Redland’s #34 Tony Forfa for the 2017 Platinum Jewelry & Loan Street Stock Championship. Just 3 points separate our two leaders as they traded wins the past few events. Forfa captured the win last time out, so Good is ready and due. Or, will Santa Clarita’s Don Oatley find the speed to knock our two leaders off the top? Sylmar’s #57x Jerry Baxter continues to show steady improvement in his sophomore year at the track, and old hand Lancaster’s Ray Butler is due as well. You’ll have to be there this Saturday, don’t miss it! BE THERE!

At our last race on May 13th your top 5 in Street Stocks were….

1.) #34 Tony Forfa IV

2.) #25 Justin Good
3.) #27 Don Oatley
4.) #57x Jerry Baxter
5.) #57 Ray Butler

We warmly welcome Sterile Pros as the newest sponsor to the Willow Springs family. They wanted the most popular division at our track, and they definitely received that!

May 13th showed that Quartz Hill’s Michael Williams #71 is poised for a run as we continue in the season. A strong win for him and his team as he beat both the top 2 teams in Hobby Stock to the checkers. Lancaster’s Johnny Troesch #44 is calm and confident with a decent 8 point lead over Santa Clarita’s Donny Oatley #88, but there’s a lot of racing to go this season.

Rosamond’s #79 Joseph Pablo has had strong finishes the last few races to solidify third spot in the points, nipping on the heels of Oatley. But Michael Williams gathered the most points last race in May, and has his sights set on another battle with Troesch for the Championship. But Oatley and Pablo are standing in the way of that plan.

Lancaster’s Steven Parker #48 rejoined the field showing a strong 5th place finish and determined to be a contender for wins as well this weekend.

There will be another brutal fight for the win this Saturday. Don’t miss it!

At our last race on May 13th your top 5 in Hobby Stock were….

#71 Michael Williams

#44 Johnny Troesch

#88 Donnie Oatley
#79 Joseph Pablo
#48 Steven Parker

The Mini Stocks will see a shake up this week as a new owner of the 13xl takes over the reins. Will he present a new challenge for Greg Didoha in the #19? We will know soon this Saturday night!
At our last race on May 13th your top 5 in Mini Stocks were….

#19 Greg Didoha
#13xl Nate Vandeventer
#42 Carey Cecil
#6 Stanley Youngblood
#64 Chris Markin

The second of our two new permanent divisions are the 51Fifty Energy Drink Sport Compacts. We were looking for a middle step from So-Cal Enduro toward the upper divisions and the SC fits that bill perfectly. Still an extremely low budget division to run (cars complete can be built for right around $1,500), it’s a chance to run our full track without the chicane. We think it will be a quickly growing division with it’s higher speeds, yet still cost effective starting point for racers hitting the track for the first time.

Keith Murphy took home his first ever win at our track in May, and we are thinking he had a really good time doing it! Look for him to return searching for another win while the Father / Son team of Ken Iannalfo Sr and Jr., Kris Clark, and Melissa Youngblood looking for their own Victory Circle celebrations this Saturday!

At our last race on May 13th your top 5 in Sport Compact were….

1.) #26 Keith Murphy

2.) #74 Ken Iannalfo Sr.
3.) #13 Kris Clark
4.) #49 Ken Iannalfo Jr.
5.) #6 Melissa Youngblood
